Mihayo Safaris is your host for the duration of your unforgettable African adventure. As ambassadors of our beautiful land, we strive to meet your every need so that your trip lives in your memory as the best time of your life. Until we see you again. To this end, we employ experienced guides whose knowledge and expertise will help you to become intimately acquainted with the splendor and mystery that are the hallmarks of Tanzania.
The Mihayo's Safaris TeamMihayo's Safaris was founded in 2009 in Arusha by a family of safari guides and Kilimanjaro porters who had spent two decades working for foreign-owned operators without ever holding an equity stake in the business their knowledge built.
Today the company runs entirely Tanzanian-owned vehicles, employs guides from the communities bordering the parks they work in, and reinvests a share of every trip into conservancy and education programs in those same communities.
The two people who carry the responsibility when something on the ground needs a decision, not a committee.

Founded Mihayo's Safaris to put ownership of the business back in the hands of the people who actually know this land — sets the direction for every itinerary, partnership, and conservation commitment the company makes.

Runs the technology behind the bookings, logistics, and communication that keep every trip on schedule — the reason a route change on the ground reaches you before it becomes a problem.
Design safaris and climbs that are logistically flawless, financially transparent, and economically rooted in the communities that host them.
A Tanzania where tourism revenue visibly strengthens the conservancies, schools, and households nearest the parks — not just the capital city.
Honesty about what a trip will actually cost and involve. Respect for wildlife distance and cultural protocol. Zero tolerance for harassment of animals for a photo.
